about me.

My name is Chris Vecchio, and I am currently a UX and Product Designer on the Vehicle Engineering team at Jaguar Land Rover. I graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Communications, and from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Master of Science in Creative Technology & Design. Following a career in Marketing and Advertising Strategy, I shifted focus to User Experience and Product Design..

Following my graduation from the University of Vermont with a focus on marketing, I began my professional career at Dealer.com, cultivating experience in the automotive sector, providing technical, advertising, and web design support for the largest dealership website provider in the United States. After mentoring with the company’s Senior UX Architect, I was inspired to return to school at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying User Experience Design in pursuit of my Master’s degree. While I finished my degree, worked in a project management role at Vail Resorts, intaking resort marketing content for 27 major ski areas in the United States and Canada, and providing finished display, social, native and email marketing assets to be trafficked to skiers and boarders across North America. Following graduation, I began working with the UX team and production artists at Vail Resorts to build their newest relationship marketing, as well as develop new site designs.

Currently, I work as a UX and Product Designer at Jaguar Land Rover North America. Partnering with colleagues in India, the United Kingdom, as well as the East and West Coasts of the United States, I provide user experience design direction for multiple products alongside management, HMI, and development teams. By leveraging user journeys, mockups, and prototyping, I help create software that is high quality, efficient, and user-focused.

My background of formal education and professional experiences in a variety of industries and positions makes me a uniquely suited candidate for User Experience and Product Designer roles in the tech and automotive spaces, and I look forward to greater learning, as well as expansion of my skillset.
