Senior Product Designer - Experience Design Team

Evolve Vacation Rental Management is a company that serves Vacation Rental Guests, Owners, and Partners in order to create a seamless vacation rental experience.

As a Senior Product Designer on the Experience Design team, I drive UX/UI strategy, design architecture, and full-stack implementation across Evolve’s digital ecosystem. My focus areas span owner platforms, internal revenue management tools, and guest booking experiences. I bridge deep user research (surveys, interviews, and session recordings) with business goals to lead high-impact product roadmaps. Working alongside executive leadership, product management, engineering, and marketing teams, I set the design direction, build production-ready software, and establish foundational standards across our digital products.

Owner Web and App

My primary responsibility is establishing design direction and managing feature architecture for Evolve’s owner facing ecosystem, across web and mobile platforms. I lead the calendar, payment, finance, and tax-reporting sections of the owner experience - focusing on maximizing clarity, data accuracy, and self-service capabilities across our booking calendar, revenue tools, and financial payout interfaces.

Owner Booking Calendar Redesign & Beta Launch

Recently, I led the comprehensive redesign and production implementation of Evolve’s Owner Booking Calendar - the single most visited surface area across the entire platform, improving how our owners manage their 30,000+ properties.

Beyond UX/UI craft, I took this project from initial Figma concepts into a live development environment using Claude Code to write and commit production front-end code directly, and partnering with Engineering to validate and monitor the release. I built the full opt-in beta framework, telemetry, and rebuilt the settings structure.

Key Highlights

  • Full stack execution: Bridged the gap between design and production engineering by taking designs from ideation to live code

  • De-risked beta rollout: Shipped as an opt-in beta before forcing adoption, allowing us to gather real time feedback

  • Validated success: Achieved an 80% beta retention rate, and 77% owner preference while monitoring 400+ owner feedback responses

  • UX and navigation overhaul: Reorganized settings into searchable structures, added listing photos to property switcher, and added the ability to edit fees and print calendar cleanly.

Owner Finance and Reporting

A major project I led revamped the way Evolve handles owner-initiated guest cancellations, and resulted in a redesign of the Reports section of the site - within 3 weeks from inception to launch. As a result of researching, designing, and building a new Adjustments tab, I was able to help the company reclaim $980k in outstanding owner debits within 4 months of our product launch, with very limited negative feedback.

Revenue Management

I served as the lead product designer for Project Basecamp - an internal revenue management platform designed to give Evolve’s Revenue Managers precise, granular control over property pricing across 30,000+ active listings.

While Evolve’s proprietary SmartRates algorithm automatically generates 370+ days of dynamic nightly pricing, Revenu Managers require real-time flexibility to adjust rates during local events or market spikes. To solve this, I researched, designed, and helped implement custom pricing controls, enabling Revenue Managers to seamlessly apply modifiers, overrides, and minimums to maximize owner earnings.

Key Highlights

  • Replaced legacy Salesforce tools: Transitioned internal workflows off Salesforce into a purpose-built internal web application, saving 5 FTEs in operational capacity.

  • Bulk rule setting: Designed segmentation tools that allowed RMs to apply modifiers to specific property groupings like ski-in/ski-out, and built a change-log interface that helped inform SmartRates, contributing ~$1m in improved pricing performance.

  • Foundational platform evolution: Successfully scoped, tested, and delivered Basecamp 1 to internal users, set the roadmap delivered Basecamp 2 which expanded listing controls and minimum stay parameters.

Guest Booking Calendar & Accessibility Overhaul

On the guest-facing direct booking side of Evolve, I led the UX architecture and accesibility redesign of the core guest booking calendar - a critical part of the primary booking funnel.

Legacy versions of the guest calendar failed core accessibility standards, and introduced friction during checkout and frequently triggering several distinct error messages after a guest tried to select dates.

Key Highlights

  • Competitive UX benchmarking: Conducted moderated and unmoderated usability testing, and comparing Evolve’s calendar system against Google, Airbnb, and Vrbo to identify essential feature requirements.

  • Accessibility overhaul: Updated visual contrasts, touch targets, and screen-reader interactions to align the booking experience with modern accessibility standards.

  • 38% error reduction: Re-architected the date selection flow and implemented inline tooltips to proactively guide users through unavailable date states, reducing errors by 38%.
